Inspire Health Alliance partners with the North Carolina Association of Educators to bring home COVID-19 testing solution to public school employees

LAKE FOREST, Calif. And RALEIGH, NC – (BUSINESS WIRE) – U.S. health services company Inspire Health Alliance today announced a COVID-19 testing program with the Association of North Carolina Educators, designed to support a safe and sustainable return to classroom education in nobody.

The partnership will provide teachers in the Association with access to periodic home PCR test kits that can be self-administered to monitor COVID-19 infection. Each kit comes with auto-nasal swabs along with step-by-step instructions on how to collect a sample and then return it overnight by mail to Inspire’s CLIA authorized lab.

“Rapid, accurate and frequent COVID-19 testing is one of the most important tools we can provide our dedicated educators when they return to work, ”said Tamika Walker Kelly, President of the Carolina Educators Association North. “By providing our educators with the ability to easily and regularly test themselves, we hope to take a significant step towards controlling infections before they spread into our classrooms, buildings or communities.

John Kang, Managing Partner of Inspire Health Alliance, added: “Even with preventative measures in place, teachers across the country are understandably concerned about catching the virus. Screening is an important part of the layered approach to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, especially when early detection of asymptomatic cases can help protect the health of the community as a whole. ”

Inspire Health Alliance works with school systems, private businesses, nonprofits and those on the front lines across the country to provide coordinated testing solutions.
