MSD Wayne Township Improves Access to Digital Learning for 16,000 Students with ClassLink

When roster and interoperability issues caused access delays – especially for new students and faculty – leadership escalated again. In 2020, MSD Wayne has launched an effort to provide all new students and teachers with access to the digital resources they need within 24 hours.

Pete Just, Chief Operating Officer and Technology at MSD Wayne and Past President of CoSN, says the district chose ClassLink because it offers automated listing and single sign-on access to over 6,000 digital resources and systems using open data standards .

“Now if a teacher learns to 10 a.m. as a new student joins the class, they can be confident that tomorrow morning that student will be up and running with their digital resources, thanks to ClassLink. Providing quick and easy access to learning materials reduces barriers for our most vulnerable students. I think it had a big impact in our district. “- Pete Just, Director of Operations and Technology MSD Wayne, Former Chairman of CoSN

In addition to fixing list issues, Just says ClassLink is also helping the district:

  • Support distance and hybrid learning by providing students, staff and parents with a cohesive learning foundation with single sign-on access to all their digital resources, at home and at school (Wayne Learning Hub).
  • make informed decisions about purchasing digital assets based on ClassLink’s detailed usage analyzes.

“MSD Wayne Township is a wonderful example of how districts can create exceptional digital learning environments that work for students, families, staff and educators. Everyone at ClassLink is proud to play a role in supporting their efforts to overcome the challenges so many districts and schools face. “‍ – George Perreault, Director of Studies, ClassLink
