LAFAYETTE OUEST, Ind. – Last year, President Mitch Daniels announced the creation of the Purdue Foundation for Life – a combination of the University’s alumni engagement role and its fundraising role – and with this alumni role formalized, the John Purdue Club began to roll out its new branding starting with an overview of the members at this year’s YPC day.
The Purdue for Life Foundation helps people who love Purdue University stay connected, get involved, and give back. Its goal is to improve alumni engagement and communication by aligning development and stewardship activities across campus and with alumni and friends. These are the new parent organization of the John Purdue Club as well as the President’s Council, alumni engagement programs and fundraising initiatives.
“We pride ourselves on providing our student-athletes with every possible opportunity to succeed on and off the playing field,” says Tim House, Senior Deputy Director of Sports and Deputy Vice President for Development. “We couldn’t do what we do without our members, and we’re excited to share all of the resources and opportunities that Purdue for Life has to offer.”
Annual John Purdue Club memberships, benefits and priority points will not change with respect to athletic donations. The John Purdue Club remains an exclusive organization for donors who support the annual bill of scholarships for over 500 Purdue student-athletes with donations of $ 200 or more. All members of the John Purdue Club are automatically considered part of Purdue for Life.
The JPC flag logo that members may be used to seeing will be phased out, and a new logo began rolling out on June 5. JPC merchandise has been updated to reflect this new look, and members can contact their Boilermaker Athletics Representative for a discount code to use on PurdueTeamStore.com.
